Education

The Heights of Abraham provides a day out with a high educational value by combining a unique blend of natural and social history, geology, technology and interpretation. For older pupils and students studying tourism the Heights of Abraham is becoming an increasingly popular venue to carry out a case study.
We know that organizing a visit is not an easy task. With this in mind not only can you download a Teachers Pack containing information, activity and project sheets but also an online risk-assessment and information on health and safety.

Health & Safety
We want your school party to really enjoy and learn from their day out, but we also want you to be safe while you are at the Heights of Abraham. Please be aware that there are some areas where children do need close supervision, particularly on the Play areas and Prospect Tower. Due to the natural formation of the site there are also many steep, narrow and uneven steps/pathways throughout the hilltop park. It is thus essential that accompanying adults/teachers monitor their groups and prohibit unruly behaviour.
We have trained first aiders on site. If you require assistance please ask at the Treetops Centre or the nearest member of staff.
Please click below to view and download a current risk assessment that will help you with your plans.
