To help you and your pupils gain as much as possible from your day out we have produced a FREE downloadable Teachers Pack. Hopefully it will contain most of the information you should need in planning a visit to the Heights including information about the site and its facilities. It also contains a series of Project and Activity sheets designed to be used both in the classroom as well as on site once you arrive.
To access these sheets you will require the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
We want your school party to really enjoy and learn from their day out, but we also want you to be safe while you are at the Heights of Abraham. Please be aware that there are some areas where children do need close supervision, particularly on the Play areas and Prospect Tower. Due to the natural formation of the site there are also many steep, narrow and uneven steps/pathways throughout the hilltop park. It is thus essential that accompanying adults/teachers monitor their groups and prohibit unruly behaviour.
We have trained first aiders on site. If you require assistance please ask at the Treetops Centre or the nearest member of staff.
Download a current site risk assessment that will help you with your plans.
Of course one of the best ways to plan your trip if you have time is to book a pre- visit. Get in touch and we will be happy to book an orientation trip for you and a colleague.
If you have any queries or wish to make a booking with us do not hesitate to get in touch on 01629 582 365 or email Email: ofc@egtoarhmcmfiehihsfbaa.o
