The Heights of Abraham estate and cable cars remain closed. We expect to reopen during the second half of July 2020, and look forward to welcoming you back. 

We are busy installing all the Covid-19 health and safety measures required to protect our staff and guests, and look forward to announcing our reopening date very soon.

Please ensure you check our website and social media channels for the latest information. Alternatively sign up to our free newsletter (The link can be found on our home page) to be the first to receive opening date and booking information.

ANNUAL PASS HOLDERS: Please note that you will be contacted automatically regarding opening details. Your passes will be extended to cover the closure period. More information for annual pass holders - click here.

COVID-19 Temporary closure of the Heights of Abraham until further notice.

Following the governments latest announcement regarding social distancing and the operation of visitor attractions, the Heights of Abraham is working carefully and methodically to ensure we have the very best safety procedures and installations in place to lessen the risk of Covid 19 transmission.

When we have completed these changes we will open as soon as possible. Please subscribe to our newsletter via the website to receive updates as soon as they are available.

COVID-19 Temporary closure of the Heights of Abraham until further notice.

From Saturday 21st March 2020, in line with government guidance, The Heights of Abraham will be temporarily closed.
We will continue to follow official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England and will re-open when authorised to do so.

In the meantime, you can keep up-to-date with news from the Heights including confirmation of when the Estate will be re-opening, via our website ; on our social media channels @theheightsofabraham (Facebook) @hts_of_abraham (Twitter) heightsofabraham (Instagram); or sign up to our newsletter by visiting our website and scrolling down the home page to the newsletter signup panel.

If you have purchased a ticket online for the Heights of Abraham that ticket will now be valid for a visit later in the year once we reopen. Simply show your ticket upon arrival. Alternatively, If you prefer a full refund for your cable car ticket, please email with

1. Your booking reference number

2. The date you purchased the ticket

3. The original date of your visit

4. The four last digits of the card you used to make your booking 

Your refund should be completed within 5 – 10 working days.

If you have purchased an annual pass for the 2020 season we will extend your pass automatically by three months immediately, and should our temporary closure last longer we will increase the extension accordingly.

If you purchased your tickets through a third party (e.g. a local hotel) you will need to contact the third-party directly to confirm the alternative options available to you.
