Retail Assistant

About the Job

Working as part of a team, you’ll be key in delivering first class customer service in our two retail outlets.
You’ll be responsible for serving customers, operating tills, cash handling and maintaining the cleanliness and stock levels in both our summit shops. You’ll develop a good working knowledge of the products for sale in both the visitor centre gift shop and our rock/gemstone orientated High Falls outlet.
You’ll always be on-hand to help our visitors with any questions or queries. When working in the Gift Shop, you’ll also assist with telephone enquiries where needed.

About you

You’ll be a friendly, presentable and enthusiastic team player who enjoys giving great customer service to a wide variety of people. You’ll be educated to GCSE level or equivalent with fantastic communication skills and attention to detail.
You’ll have experience in working in a retail environment where the customer always comes first.
You’ll have a flexible attitude to working arrangements and times. If needed, you won’t be afraid to get stuck in and help other visitor facing departments across the site.

Contract Dates:

February 2017 – 5th November 2017

Hours:

Variable daily.  Due to the nature of the business, successful applicants will be expected to work to a rota, which will include some weekend and Bank Holidays.
