Summer Sounds of Music - Samba
The hilltop woodlands of the Heights of Abraham Matlock Bath this summer will be echoing to the sound of music this summer. Each weekend from July 24th to August 22nd at 1pm and 3pm the world of music from Brass, Samba, Classical and Ceilidh will perform in the amphitheatre at 1pm and 3 pm.
The Summer Sounds of Music season continues this coming weekend, 31st July /1st August with Nottingham based Nottingham School of Samba performing in full Latin fashion with their drums beating out foot tapping rhythms. The band is made up of folk of all ages who in their spare time to enjoy the energy of the music.
John Coulson Events Manager commented "We are very excited to welcome such a lively group to The Heights of Abraham. The hot energetic Latin sounds will, we hope, match the weather and will certainly be as evocative as the views out across the Derwent Valley".
