"Roll up! Roll-Up!" It's Punch and Judy time again.
The Heights of Abraham are pleased to announce that for the thirteenth consecutive summer Richard Coombs will be performing his World Famous Punch and Judy show on the Terrace behind the visitors centre.
Each year the show takes several land rover trips and cable car journeys to fetch all the parts to the summit of the very steep hill, and two days to put together. But it is worth it!
The brightly coloured theatre contains all your favourite knockabout characters, and it is a sight to behold with its plush velvet and tassels and trimmings. When the Queen celebrated her Jubilee in 2012, Mr Punch celebrated his 350th year in the UK.
No wonder that a Punch Show is one of the few live entertainments left in the UK that all generations can claim to have seen in their childhood.
Returning visitors often tell us that seeing our show opened up sharing of family memories on the journey home, with everyone recounting seeing different shows when they were young. And watching a show together from the very old to the very young is one of the true joys of summer.
So whatever your age, with children, or on your own - we hope you are going to enjoy seeing what new thrills Richard has put into the show this season.
Shows are every day at 11.30 am 1.30pm and 3.30pm from Saturday 21st July to Sunday 2nd September inclusive.
