The Forest family from Stockport arrived at The Heights of Abraham on a return visit having won the annual draw for a short break at the 5 Star Darwin Forest Country Park pine lodges near Matlock. The Country park was voted by Hoseasons 'Best lodge park in Britain' 2009, providing self-catering holiday accommodation in the Derbyshire Peak District.
In March this year the draw from 2009's customer feedback forms was drawn and the winners were Mr & Mrs Forest and their 2 daughters of Stockport. They gratefully accepted the offer to spend 4 days at the expense of The Heights of Abraham at the wonderful Darwin Forest Country Park in one of their top quality Pine lodges which are of course built here in Derbyshire at Bakewell.
Mrs Forest said " She was surprised when she got the phone call from John Coulson, we are really looking forward to our stay. The girls were not with us last time so the cable car ride is a first for them. We came here first today as we book in to Darwin Forest at 4pm and its is such a beautiful day we could not miss out on the views. Having looked on the Country Park's website we realised this was a first class prize and wish to thank The Heights of Abraham and Darwin Forest staff for this opportunity to enjoy Derbyshire and the Peak District again "
" We encourage all our visitors to give us their feedback and to encourage this we offer both a discounted return visit and also the opportunity to be entered in the draw. We have thousands of returns so whoever wins is a very lucky person indeed." said John Coulson Marketing Manager, who went on to say, "We hope they have a great time and tell all their family and friends about the wonderful Peak District & Derbyshire scenery, hospitality and friendliness."
This year the draw will again take place in the New Year before The Heights of Abraham re-opens for Half Term week on February 19th.
