Olympic Torch to visit, The Heights of Abraham, Matlock Bath, Derbyshire, UK

The Heights of Abraham are pleased to announce that they have been chosen as one of the UK's iconic destinations to be visited by the Olympic Torch. On Friday 29th June 2012, during its relay journey through Derbyshire the Torch will be carried to the Summit and back on the Cable Cars.

During its journey from Greece to the Olympic City of London, the iconic Cable Cars will transport the Torch to the summit of the Heights creating an "Olympic" moment for Derbyshire's oldest tourist attraction and everyone throughout the Derwent Valley.
