Halloween at the Heights

This October Half Term at the Frights of Abraham, the good witch of the west, Belinda Broomsticks, has flown all the way on her very own broomstick from magical lands beyond, to the summit of Masson Hill in Matlock Bath.

But it isn't all cable car rides and cavern fun for Belinda- in fact she's having a very bad day. Not only has she lost 13 cats across the hilltop park, her enchanted cauldron has been stolen! The evil Rutland Cavern trolls have snatched it away from her and she needs to enlist the help of brave youngsters to venture into the cavern and perform magical spells to retrieve it.

If the children help Belinda find the magic cauldron, they will each be granted a special gift, pulled from the cauldron itself.

The Witches Grotto Halloween experience is a 20 minute experience for children aged 3-10 underground in the Rutland Cavern. Children will be given a magical wand to light the way through the dark and a Halloween gift upon finding the missing cauldron. There will be storytelling, spell learning, light and smoke effects, photo opportunities and more in the Witches Grotto. A small additional charge applies.

Tickets for the cable cars and the Halloween Grotto can be booked here: Frights of Abraham & October Half Term

Across the rest of the 60-acre estate the Frights of Abraham will be decorated in all things Halloween! There will be spooky pumpkin scarecrows dotted around the hilltop that make for great Halloween photographs, as well as terrifyingly tasty treats in the Terrace Cafe and the Tavern.

All children (and grown ups!) are invited to join in the hunt for Belinda's 13 missing cats. Each child will be given an activity sheet on arrival and asked to use their beady cats eyes to spot the black cats hiding across the estate. If seven cats are found, each child can enter a competition to win 2x tickets and an ice cream treat for 2022.
