Heights of Abraham Wins VisitEngland Gold Award
12 March, 2020
PRESS RELEASE: The Heights of Abraham Attraction secures third consecutive Gold Accolade for Visitor Attraction Excellence.
The Heights of Abraham has received its third consecutive VisitEngland Gold Accolade for Visitor Attraction Excellence. The Derbyshire attraction was one of just 17 visitor attractions across the whole of England to be awarded the “Gold” standard by VisitEngland today.
Designed to celebrate excellence within the visitor attraction sector, VisitEngland’s Accolades assess all aspects of the visitor experience including arrival, content, appearance and presentation of the attraction, cleanliness, toilets, catering, retail and staff. The Gold Accolate is awarded to those attractions who offer the best overall visitor experience.
The Heights of Abraham and Chatsworth House were the only two visitor attractions in the East Midlands to win the prestigious Gold accolade. Other 2019 Gold winners include Cadbury World, The National Memorial Arboretum, the World of Wedgewood and Chester Zoo.
Andrew Pugh, Chairman of the Heights said today: “We are delighted to receive the Gold Accolade this year. I am pleased that it recognises the exceptional customer service and high presentational standards seen throughout the estate. It is a worthy acknowledgement of the team’s dedication to provide the best possible experience for all our guests.
“To be awarded VisitEngland’s Gold award alongside Chatsworth, clearly demonstrates that the Peak District can offer its visitors a truly wonderful experience.”
The Visitor attraction is open this weekend (Saturday and Sunday 14th & 15th March) and then open daily from 21st March to 1st November. For further details visit www.heightsofabraham.com
