Here's just a few more of the amazing things you can do at the Heights this year!

Adventure playgrounds

You'll love our adventure playgrounds. We have two! One for older children and one for the toddlers as well. Both or located in wonderful surroundings, with seats for mum and dad, climbing ropes and bridges, slides and swings. Check out the giant slide if you dare!

Giant Butterfly Trail

Keep your eyes peeled! Butterflies ahead! Twelve giant butterflies are hiding in the trees at the Heights of Abraham. Children are invited to fill in their fact file spotters sheet to check the butterflies off as they find them. This is a free activity for all children (and enthusiastic adults too!).

Rocks and Crystals

For all crystal, fossil and rock loving children, we have a wide selection of pick-and-mix gems, fossil kits and crystals in our Rockshop and Tavern, plus fossils they can get up close to, including everyone's favourite - turtle poo!

Punch and Judy Summertime Show

A family favourite! Catch the Punch and Judy show from the 22nd of July to the 3rd of September at 11:30, 13:30 and 15:30. Mr Punch returns to the Heights with all of his classic friends, plus some new unexpected faces!

Wild Woodlands

Following the winding paths through the woods and explore our ancient forest at the top of the estate. Teeming with wildlife, nature to discover, there's nothing like going back to basics and enjoying the fresh air! Alternatively take the winding path down to the Woodland corner and learn about how the trees talk to each other.

ice cream! and lollies too

We serve the most amazing ice cream, which comes from Matlock Meadows, which is just over the hill. The cows can even see the cable car from their field. There are loads of tasty flavours to choose from at the Ice Cream Hut, and you'll find ice lollies and soft drinks available in the Tavern and the café too.

Here's a few puzzles for you to have a go at.
