Assistant Catering Manager


About the Job

This is a role within a team at one of Derbyshire's leading tourist attractions. We are offering the opportunity to work across the different dining establishments at the Heights of Abraham.

Duties include:

  • Overseeing the Vista Bar & Restaurant and the Terrace Cafe
  • Liaising with the Catering Manager regarding stock levels and quality of products
  • Maintaining the highest standards of menu presentation, whilst ensuring that waiting times are kept to a minimum
  • Achieving sales targets / food cost
  • Stock control
  • Training and development of team members

About you

You will have proven experience as a chef within a professional kitchen. You're a natural team player who is most at home when working efficiently with others allowing you to make the best use of your time. You possess the ability to follow processes, maintain safety guidelines, plan properly and be organised and structured in what you do. You're constantly thinking about the day in an ordered way that means everything runs smoothly.


Contract Dates: 10th February 2018 –  4th November 2018

Hours:  Daytime hours, no evenings. Due to the nature of the business, successful applicants will be expected to work to a rota, which will include weekends and Bank Holidays.

Pay: Competitive depending on experience
