The Vista Restaurant takes a staring role

Head for the Heights this week to capture the flavour of a great day out. You'll find extra special tasty treats and special offers in our cafe's and restaurant, fine ales and wines in the bars as well as information about the local food producers from around Derbyshire who supply our kitchens. Come and celebrate food and drink at the Heights of Abraham.

Between Saturday 7th and Sunday 15th of September, the Heights is shining the spotlight on our Vista Restaurant, licensed bar and Terrace café with their spectacular views across the Derwent Valley. It’s a great time to book a table with a view in the restaurant, and an opportunity to try a daily special from the menu!

  • Children dining in the Vista restaurant with accompanying adults will receive a free upgrade to their main meal: a complimentary dessert and wild juice drink.
  • Dine in the Vista restaurant to receive a 20% discount on a return visit meal.
  • Look out for other offers on food and drink when you arrive at the Heights this week.
  • Arrive early and enjoy a hearty breakfast in the Vista restaurant. between 10.00am and 11.30am

Music is the food of love, and on both Sundays live music can be heard on the patio outside the café and restaurant between 12.30pm and 2.00pm.

Every day the Vista Restaurant will feature a local dish of the day, whilst the licensed bar has a gin of the day, and the café offers a cake of the day. With so much good food and drink to enjoy, you’ll want to explore the Estate’s footpaths and woodlands walks to burn a few calories, take in the summit's fresh air, and enjoy the rest of the attractions and exhibition galleries.

Once you purchase your cable car ticket to the summit, all the guided tours, exhibitions, play areas and galleries are free to enjoy. Tickets cost £18 per adult (£17 when purchased online), with discounts for family groups, children, seniors, and special concessionary rates for those who arrive by train or bus. Guests who arrive during the celebrations will receive a special commemorative booklet that highlights some of the local food and drink suppliers who supply the kitchens as well as information about what the Heights is doing to lessen their impact on the environment. The company has recently replaced all plastic cups with the innovative Vegware tumblers made from vegetable extracts and completely bio-degradable.
