It's Easter weekend at the Heights of Abraham. This weekend is a very special one for the Heights, as we’re celebrating our Cable Car birthday. Easter Sunday will be 35 years to the day since the cable cars first started to operate in Matlock Bath.
Of course it’s Easter too, so as well as our award winning cable car and summit attractions, including two showcaves, adventure playgrounds, exhibitions and galleries, you’ll find extra special activities designed to give you a fun day out.
Saturday 20th, Sunday 21st & Monday 22nd
Got a mobile phone with you? Take part in our “Selfie” competition for a chance to win a free Family Annual Pass worth £120 for up to four people. One winner will be selected EACH DAY. It could be you! You can even take your picture by an original 1984 cable car, on display down at the Cable Car Base station.
Travel back in time 35 years in the Masson Pavilion and watch a video of the installation of the cable cars in our presentation theatre. Repeated showings throughout the day.
Sunday 21st & Monday 22nd
