The Heights estate is riddled with secret footpaths that take you out into wide open spaces with stunning views across the Derwent Valley. Visit us during our mini walking festival and try out some of the best walks on these hills. Self guided walks, cave tours and a limited number of guided walks will be available. Visitors who walk up to the Heights this week (rather than take the cable cars) will enjoy half price tickets onto the 60 acre site with access to the galleries, exhibitions, restaurant, adventure play areas and film theatre.
Visit The Heights on foot (it's quite a walk and takes around 40 minutes) by taking the footpath from Matlock Bath up to West Lodge and enter the Heights Estate for half price during our walking week. You have access to the guided show cavern tours throughout the day, adventure play areas, galleries, exhibitions and film shows, plus the restaurant and cafes and the wider Estate with it's winding footpaths through woodlands revealing huge vistas and spectacular scenery.
