Willow Sculpture Trail

Brand new for 2022, a lifelike sculpture trail installed by Cheshire artist Caroline Gregson.

The five sculptures installed across the hilltop estate aim to bring to life moments in Heights of Abraham history. From High Peak farmer and his herd of sheep, to a Low Peak 17th Century miner and his son taking a break from a hard day in the caverns.

Caroline Gregson represents movement and vitality in her sculptures. It has been observed that 'you can always see where the sculptures are looking, and what they are thinking.' The sculptures show a brief pause in time for visitors to reflect upon the historic significance of Masson Hill and think about those who have come before them.
