The Main Estate is now closed until February 2026. Our Winter Lights Trail will be open at 4.00pm on selected evenings: 21 Nov, 22 Nov, 23 Nov, 28 Nov, 29 Nov, 30 Nov, 5 Dec, 6 Dec, 7 Dec, 8 Dec nightly until 23 Dec, then 27 Dec, 28 Dec, 29 Dec, 30 Dec.

Please follow the postcode DE4 3NT which will take you to the nearest car park. It is a short riverside walk from there, just follow the signs.

We don't have our own car park. There are four main car parks in Matlock Bath. These are all run by Derbyshire Dales District Council, and therefore are all pay and display. The machines accept cash or you can pay by phone. Please note, the machines do not accept cards.
We love to welcome all visitors to the Heights, but due to the nature of the Winter Walk route there are gradients that some guests may find a challenge.
Due to the grit and salt that is used to keep our paths ice free during the Winter Lights Trail we are unable to allow dogs onto the estate until we reopen in February 2026.

Car Parking
The nearest car park is the Matlock Bath train station, just three minutes walk from the cable car station.
Accessibility
We love to welcome all visitors to the Heights, but due to the nature of the site not all areas are accessible.
Dogs Welcome
Dogs are welcome on the cable cars and around the estate. Dogs cannot go into the underground caverns.
